Turning Life On

By Keeping Tech in Check

Turning Life On is a grass-roots movement that embraces digital wellness and promotes the human experience by uniting, informing and empowering parents, youth, professionals, schools and local communities.

We realize that all communities are different, and that a coalition is more effective than a single voice. Our Turning Life On leadership team consults with champions to create customized screen time plans to both promote digital wellness within a community and unite local parents, youth, educators and professionals. Our team collaborates with champions on how best to empower local members.

Our Turning Life On team works everyday to support parents and local champions by researching and sharing information, strategies and resources. We create digital wellness programs that can be adopted and implemented locally, and offer monthly webinars. Our goal is to empower TLOers with the information they need to manage screen time and achieve digital wellness.

Working together, TLOers inspire positive change, advocate for better tech practices, balance screen time and embrace digital wellness.

We call this “Turning Life On” and we do so by Keeping Tech in Check!

Unite.

We unite communities:

  • with a locally-based, public promise to delay giving a smartphone to your child until at least eighth grade in an effort to alleviate the social pressure to have a smartphone for parents and for kids.

  • with an option to publicly support and join the movement to embrace digital wellness and promote the human experience even if you’re not into the promise.

  • with an option to privately support so you can join the movement and stay informed.
